Best Selling Cars of 2021 in Pakistan

Best Selling Cars of 2021 in Pakistan

After a sales slump in 2020 caused by the widespread spread of COVID-19, the Pakistani auto industry has made a remarkable comeback. Increased sales in the automotive industry can be attributed to several factors, including the introduction of new models, a temporary drop in prices, and lower interest rates for auto loans.

In 2021, Pak-Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) was the top car seller in Pakistan, selling 122,799 vehicles. Sales of 69,169 Honda Atlas Cars (HCAR) and 35,173 Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) units were also impressive.

Since the resumption of economic activity, the demand for automobiles has increased significantly. Some vehicles have remained popular in the local market, while others have faded away.

For the calendar year of 2021, these are the best-selling vehicles:

The Honda City and Civic, which sold a combined 30,938 units in 2021, deserve a special mention in this piece. Because the data for both cars is presented as a sum, they cannot be ranked in this list separately.

Sportage Kia

Sportage Kia

The Kia Sportage has been one of Pakistan's most successful modern automobiles. When it was first introduced in 2019, this SUV quickly rose to the top of the sales charts in the United States.

However, market reports suggest that Kia Lucky Motors sold over 22,300 units in calendar year 2021, with the Kia Sportage accounting for over 60% of those sales.

These figures appear to be accurate, and they represent a significant achievement for a brand that is still relatively new.

Changan Alsvin

The Alsvin, introduced by Changan, has made a big splash in the automotive industry. When it comes to quality, comfort, fuel economy, and overall value, the Alsvin has gotten the best reviews of any new car on the market.

Master Changan Motors, like Kia Lucky Motors, keeps its sales figures under wraps. Unofficial market data, however, suggests that the company sold more than 15,200 units in the calendar year of 2021, with a significant portion of those being the Alsvin.

To meet the increasing demand for Master Changan's vehicles, the company is expanding its operations.

Suzuki WagonR

Suzuki WagonR

WagonR's relatively low sales this year are surprising given the high number of the vehicles currently on the road. Despite this, WagonR sold a record-breaking 18,810 vehicles last year. For the calendar year 2021, it is one of the top five best-selling books.

There's no doubt that it's because it's the only mini MPV on the market. Despite its relatively low price, the WagonR is a spacious, reasonably comfortable, and reasonably functional family car.

Fuel economy, maintenance, and general ease of ownership make it a better deal in a market full of Rs. 2.0 million-plus compact family cars than many of its competitors.

Suzuki Alto

Suzuki Alto

The new Suzuki Alto has finally stepped into Mehran's shoes after years of speculation about its ability to do so. There has been no sign of a slowdown in the production of the small hatchback by PSMC since the beginning of this year.

After selling 53,887 units in the year 2021, PSMC's Alto has surpassed all previous sales records in Pakistan, making it the best-selling car of the year and possibly all time.
